The likes of Joleon Lescott and Micah Richards have been discarded by Mancini, most likely in my eyes due to having the wrong attitude. Adam Johnson was shipped out in a hurry when he began to speak out about deserving a spot in the first team, despite reports that he was quite the lazy bastard. Even Yaya Toure looks tired and not all that bothered this season. Signing Sinclair and Rodwell was supposed to help bring the team down to earth with a dose of dull, English practicality, much like cloning Gareth Barry and having him discuss his favourite country pubs with each member of the squad. Instead, thanks to the overwhelming culture of subtle disrespect and mercenary like attitudes (looking at your, Carlos) at the club, Mancini appears to have lost control.

A new man, preferably one with a monstrous personality is needed. One who is willing to dump the attitudes, and enforce his own rules. There are some who cause no bother, such as Pablo Zabaleta and Vincent Kompany. Despite recent complacency, Joe Hart can yet be saved. Disruptive influences such as Carlos Tevez and Micah Richards however, need to be taught a lesson.
A fire breathing Cerberus with teeth sharper than Joe Cole's wit such as Diego Simeone would be ideal. Hell, he might even bring Falcao along with him. As for Roberto Mancini, despite achieving nothing in Europe and starting to visibly lose his rag since Christmas, I for one have some sympathy for the man with a very awkward job indeed.
